North Jakarta Prepares Cultural and Culinary Festival on 77th Independence Day

North Jakarta Economics and Development Assistant Wawan Budi Rohman disclosed the cultural and culinary events prepared were Marunda Destination Festival, Si Pitung House, Must Visit 12 Tour Sites, and Archipelago Culinary Festival.
"It also aims to preserve Betawi culture, Betawi specialties, and tourist destinations in North Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (8/16).

While Must Visit 12 Tour Sites, which is an activity involving high school (SMA) students involving as many as 650 students. They would be introduced to the 12 tour sites and were obliged to socialize or make it viral via social media to be contested.
Then Archipelago Culinary Festival, which is an activity that highlighted the culinary characteristics of North Jakarta, such as Bebek Oblok (typical Betawi Cakung food). It will be held from August 27 to 28, involving TP PKK and Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP).
"We also have cooking and barista contests at Artha Gading Mall," he expressed.
On the other side, North Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head Wiwik Satriani hoped that it could recover the tourism sector in North Jakarta, including preserving culture, Betawi specialties, and tourist destinations.
"This is the beginning of our revival, namely by moving and encouraging tourism and economic actors to be more spirited," she stressed.
